What's the difference between eSIM and physical SIM card?

An eSIM is a digital SIM installed by scanning a QR code before you leave home — no physical card needed. A physical SIM card is delivered to your hotel and activated in person when we meet. Both use the same network and offer identical speeds and coverage. Choose eSIM if you want everything set up before you land, or SIM card if you prefer to handle it face-to-face on arrival.

Does my phone support eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Most phones from 2020 onwards support eSIM, including iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3a, and recent Xiaomi/Oppo flagships. To check, dial *#06# on your phone — if an EID number appears, your device supports eSIM. Note that some carrier-locked phones may not work with eSIM.

When will my eSIM be activated?

We activate your eSIM approximately 24 hours before your scheduled arrival. Install the QR code profile on your phone before you depart — then just enable the eSIM when you land and you're online immediately. If you're already in Bali, we'll activate it as soon as your documents are verified.

Question 4

How is the SIM card delivered?

Accepted Answer

We meet you at your hotel or villa in Kuta, Denpasar, Canggu, Ubud, Sukawati, Dalung, and Tanah Lot — free of charge. Bring your passport and phone; we complete registration on the spot and activate your SIM before we leave. For areas outside this coverage, contact us on WhatsApp first.

What network will I be on?

All our plans use Telkomsel, Indonesia's largest network with the widest 5G/4G/LTE coverage. Telkomsel covers over 98% of populated areas in Bali and across Indonesia, including popular tourist areas, rural villages, and remote beaches.

Do I need to register my SIM card?

Accepted Answer

We handle registration for you. Indonesian regulations require passport and device verification for every SIM issued to a foreign national. For eSIM, you upload documents after payment and we submit them to the carrier. For SIM card, just bring your passport and phone to the delivery meeting — our staff handles everything on the spot.
